Cookies Policy

Cookies are files that are stored on the user's computer when browsing the Internet and which, in particular, contain a number that enables the user's computer to be univocally identified, even if the user's location or IP address changes.

Cookies are installed while browsing the Internet, either by the websites visited by the user or by third parties with which the website is related, and allow the website to know your activity on the same site or others with which it is related, for example: the place from which you access, the connection time, the device from which you access (fixed or mobile), the operating system and browser used, the most visited pages, the number of clicks made and data regarding the user's behaviour on the Internet. The website is accessible without the need for cookies to be activated, although their deactivation may prevent the website from functioning correctly.

Prior to the study of the most appropriate solutions for complying with the obligations of the data protection regulations (in accordance with the nature of their activity, the business model they develop and the scope of their responsibility), it is recommended that they carry out a review of the cookies used, either internally or with the advice of associations or specialised entities. This review will aim to identify the cookies that are being installed or used, analysing whether they are own or third-party cookies, session or permanent cookies, and specifying their function in order to be able to decide whether or not they fall within the scope of application of article 22.2 of the LSSI.

TYPES OF COOKIES

• Depending on who you are the entity managing the equipment or domain from where the cookies are sent and treat the data obtained, we can distinguish:
  • First party cookies: These are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  • Third-party cookies: Cookies are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
• There is also a second classification according to the period of time that remain stored in the client's browser, which may include:
  • Session cookies: These are a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page (they are usually used to store information that is only of interest for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion, such as a list of products purchased).
  • Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
• Finally, there is another classification with five types of cookies according to the purpose for which the data obtained are processed:
  • Technical cookies: These are those that allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist on it. FOR EXAMPLE, identify the session, carry out the purchase process of an order, make the application for registration or participation in an event, etc.
  • Personalisation cookies: These are those that allow the user to access the service with some general characteristics predefined according to a series of criteria in the user's terminal. For example, the language, the type of browser used to access the service, the regional configuration from which the service is accessed, etc.
  • Analytical cookies: These are those that allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookies is used for the elaboration of browsing profiles of the users of these sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data of the users of the service, with a STATISTICAL PURPOSE.
  • Advertising cookies: These are those that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from which it provides the requested service based on criteria such as the PUBLISHED CONTENT OR THE FREQUENCY AT WHICH THE ADS ARE SHOWN.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies: These are those that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the editor has included on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided. These cookies store information on the behaviour of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which ALLOWS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROFILE specific to show advertising based on the same.
